Exploring the newly remodeled trail!

Construction of a widened, stone topped Shoreline Greenway Trail through Farm River State Park is completed along with two beautiful bridges.  Trail construction was made possible with State of Connecticut DEEP matching grant funds. This multiuse trail connects users to nature and is safe for walking and biking. It connects by way of Pevetty Drive to the built Shoreline Greenway Trail at the D. C. Moore School property.
Help from many, made this trail possible. We welcome the opportunity to thank Scoutmaster Ned Taylor’s, Boy Scout Troop 401 for clearing the path in 2010. We  thank Mayor Joseph Maturo Jr. for his support and for allowing East Haven Public Works to ready the trail for construction. We thank town engineer, Kevin White, and public works supervisor, Charles Coyle for their guidance and help and we thank East Haven Public Works Crew for their pre-construction work contribution.

We invite all residents to take time to enjoy a lovely walk(or bike ride) in the park on this substantial improvement to a special place in town.
