Join Our April 28, 2018 Earth Day Bike Ride – All ages, All levels are welcome!

Join SGT in New Haven’s 10th annual Rock to Rock Charity Earth Day Bike Ride on Saturday April 28, 2018.

Rock to Rock is a bike ride dedicated to supporting environmental organizations in and around New Haven.  It is a bike ride and not a race, participants choose from 5 different routes: 5 mile ride – great for families and all ages, a 12, 20 or 40 mile ride as well as the metric century which comes out into the Shoreline with a rest stop in Guilford.  There is something for everyone!

Our team members will raise funds for the trail and then enjoy a fun bike ride with over a thousand people also celebrating Earth Day and environmental organizations important to them with food trucks and live music at the finish line.

Please consider becoming a Rock to Rock warrior and join our team at:

Currently there are matching funds available from the Rock to Rock organizers while the money lasts – so the earlier people fundraise the more impact the dollars may have – every $50 raised or donated will be matched by the organizers with an additional $10.

Adult riders are requested to raise a minimum of $100 to participate (of course the more the better for the trail).

This will be SGT’s 4th year  participating and we have always had a great time so join us; Come out and support the trail with us in recognition of Earth Day 2018 !!

Questions or want to chat about the ride, e-mail Kristen D’Souza ( or Christi Burton (

Volunteers Wanted!

Trail Maintenance Volunteers Wanted:

East Haven SGT town team is in need of volunteers to help maintain our trail. We meet about 6 times a year for trail cleanup. Typically this involves trash clean up, raking, leaf blowing and weeding. The ideal candidate knows his way around a pair of clippers!

Although we understand that everyone’s time is important to them we hope you will consider volunteering with us. We meet for about 2 hours on a mix of weekend mornings and weekday evenings. If you are interested please reach out to East Haven SGT Chairwoman Barbara Brow. Looking forward to working with you to keep up our wonderful trail!

This is also a great opportunity for high school aged kids to earn community service hours!

Thank you very much!
