New Work Party Scheduled for Feb. 17

Work will resume on the Hammonasset Beach State Park section of the Greenway Trail on Sunday, Feb. 17, weather permitting.

Anyone interesting in working on the trail should meet at 1 p.m. at the park’s campground parking lot. However, due to the constant changing weather (which forced cancellation of the last session) check this space before setting out.

The focus of Sunday’s work is to be on a particularly beautiful section popularly known as the marsh loop.

Don’t forget to wear sturdy gloves and shoes and bring tools such as loppers, hedge trimmers and pruning shears.
