SHORELINE GREENWAY TRAIL ANNUAL MEETING THURSDAY APRIL 30
TO ALL OUR MEMBERS!
The Shoreline Greenway Trail invites ALL our members and the public to our 7th Annual Meeting and Community Program on April 30, Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Memorial Town Hall in Madison.Mark Lender, esteemed local writer for the Shore Line Times’ ‘Salt Marsh Diary’ column, will present a thought-provoking talk, “Open Spaces – Open Minds”. Mark will illustrate his exploration of the fragile existence of open spaces in Connecticut with photographs and readings, and invite discussion. Also a contributor to NPR’s ‘Living on Earth’ series, Mark believes that our open spaces are at risk of disappearing as fewer people utilize our natural resources to enjoy the outdoors. He applauds the Shoreline Greenway Trail for our goal to enable more people to get outside more, for their health and the health of our environment. Once outdoor enthusiasts, he believes they will become natural advocates for preserving open space.
