Bikes Belong Awards Grant to Trail

Bikes Belong Coalition, the advocacy voice of the bicycle industry, awarded $10,000 to the Shoreline Greenway Trail in February 2005. Bikes Belong Coalition is dedicated to putting more people on bicycles more often. They link bicycle manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers with broad-based and grassroots efforts such as the Shoreline Greenway Trail to make bicycling safe, convenient, and fun in communities across the country. The Coalition praised the Shoreline Greenway Trail for its goal of connecting the towns of East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and Madison, and providing off-road access to Connecticut’s largest state park, several beaches, and other trail networks.
