MAY 1, 10 am BRANFORD – Western Boundary to Farm River
Board member Chet Blomquist will lead us through beautiful woods from Pent Road along the Beacon Hill lookout over Long Island Sound to the Farm River & return. This rustic trail includes views of an old quarry & narrow gauge rail line leading to the site of the crushing machine by the river. Approximately 2 miles round trip, about 2 hours. While the terrain is mostly flat, the trail is not suitable for baby strollers.
Directions: Take Route 1, go west on Branford Hills, turn left on Pent Road. Parking is available at the end of Pent Road. Chet will meet you there.[mappress]
