New Haven International Festival for Arts and Ideas offers Public Bike Ride to East Haven on June 22

June 11, 2011

If you are a bicyclist and would enjoy a 20-mile bike ride to the eastern shoreline,  join a few Shoreline Greenway Trail members for a late afternoon-early evening ride  5:30 to c. 8:30PM on Wednesday, June 22!

Organized by Elm City Cycling, the public bike ride will be led by Paul Proulx.   Meet on the New Haven Green  (corner of Elm St. and Church St.) for 5:30PM departure for historic Lighthouse Point by 6:30PM. After a brief talk about our vision for Shoreline Greenway Trail, leave Park c. 7:00PM to ride into East Haven along some of the route of Shoreline Greenway Trail – the section behind DC Moore School and if time, the section through the lower portion of Farm River State Park.   Reward yourself with ice cream treat at Sandpipers and return to New Haven Green by 8:30PM.

No registration necessary.   JUST SHOW UP WITH YOUR OWN BIKE AND HELMET.   Members of Shoreline Greenway Trail:  please wear one of our neon green Green Team t-shirts for publicity of SGT!  Contact your Town Team to get a t-shirt:
