The newly built walkway in Hammonasset was a highlight of the First Saturday Walk on a sunny, cold, Groundhog Day February 2. Our construction crew took time out from designing and staking out the ramps that will be built at either end to built temporary stairs so the thirty-five walkers could cross the marsh and enjoy the spectacular view. The Perrault family from Clinton enjoyed the walk with their two dogs. Another highlight of the walk was the geocache found trailside by Dave Newton.
