Our ‘First Saturday’ Walk in September will offer walkers the chance to watch and meet members of the Madison Art Society. Artists will set up their easels along the trail en plein air and hikers may stop and watch and talk with the artists. The walk will take place on Saturday, September 6 at 10 am.
Later in the day, there will be a reception and exhibition of the completed, framed trail scenes at Friends & Co. Restaurant in Madison.
Featured on the hike will be a new section of trail completed since our last walk there and the always-beautiful views of the salt marshes. Easy two-mile walk. Meet at the SGT Eastern Trailhead parking lot off Rte. 1 just east of the Hammonasset entrance road. Directions: Exit 62 from I 95 south to Rte. 1.
