An art show featuring works by members of the Board of Directors of the Madison Art Society will be held October 4 – Nov 1 at the Scranton Library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison.  The exhibit will be in the Community Room downstairs in the library.  The works, in a variety of media, including sculpture, highlight the diversity of interests and artistic approaches among the board members and makes for interesting viewing.

In conjunction with the exhibit downstairs members of MAS plein air painting group will be showing paintings created on September 6 as part of a  Shoreline Greenway Trails event.  15 artists captured individual views from the trail at Hammonasset and were on hand to answer questions from the hikers who walked the trail that day. A portion of sales from the plein air exhibit will benefit the trail.  The  Greenway trail works will be hung in the gallery over the computers.  Contact info:  Beverly Shirmeier 860-399-6116
