Guilford’s East River Preserve
HIKE, April 4, 10 am. Join us for an enjoyable hike in Guilford’s East River Preserve led by SGTrail leader Peter Goldbert. We will cross the river and hike around the East River Preserve. About an hour and a half. Children and dogs on leashes are welcome. Meet at the end of Bearhouse Hill Rd, at the East River. On the Guilford Town Green, enthusiastic bicylists gather for a Shoreline Greenway Trail 1st Saturday bike ride to Lake Quonnipaug during the Fourth of July weekend, with SGT leaders Terry and Martha Maguire, and Ted Braun.
BIKE RIDE, April 4, 10 am. Join us for an early spring bike ride from Guilford Harbor to Hammonasset Beach State Park with leader Ted Braun. Bike along Route One past our planned first trail section in Guilford to Madison’s shore route and onto our completed trail at Hammonasset Beach State Park. Return via a northerly, hilly route. 25 miles round trip. Directions: meet at Guilford Harbor. From Town Green go south on Whitfield St. Helmets required. Waivers provided to sign.
