Shoreline volunteers of all ages handed out water, fruit and energy bars to riders at the Guilford rest stop.
Nearly a dozen Shoreline Greenway Trail volunteers turned out in Branford and Guilford on an unexpectedly beautiful Sunday, October 4, to support Branford Community Television’s (BCTV’s) Tour de Branford fundraising bike ride. We provided volunteers to staff rest stops and road crossings in both towns, and we had a table promoting the Trail at the Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, where the ride—which attracted about 200 riders from 30 towns—began and ended. Dozens of people visited our table, and several people who visited the Guilford rest stop expressed interest in volunteering. Thanks to all who pitched in!
