The East Haven Land Trust granted permission for the SGT to route trail through the preserve.

Saturday, May 7th, the Shoreline Green Trail ‘First Saturday’ Walk will explore East Haven’s Bradford Preserve

Saturday May 7th at 10 am

Join East Haven town team members for a hike thru picturesque woods on the Shoreline Greenway Trail to a panoramic view of Bradford Preserve. See several species of butterflies, land-based and shorebirds. Then backtrack onto main granite topped trail, observe glacial outcroppings, mountain laurel, hickory and tulip trees to East Haven’s trailhead parking area on Mansfield Grove Road. From the parking area, head east on Pevetty Drive where the Trail in Farm River State Park begins. The park offers views of osprey nests, caves and spectacular water views of Farm River. Two steep areas, l.5 miles, l.5 hours.

Meet at DC Moore School parking lot, 82 Elliot Street, East Haven, CT. Click here for map & directions.   Directions: from Route 142 West left onto Mansfield Grove Road to stop sign, right onto Hoop Pole Lane to second school parking lot on left.
