On the First Saturday in November, Guilford SGT members hosted a delightful, leisurely bike ride with a new twist: just for Seniors-Over-Sixty!!!
13 bicyclists ages 61 to 82 joined leader Peter Hawes for a 5-mile round trip ride from the Town Green to Chaffinch Island for a picnic and return via the Barbara Pine town beach off Mulberry Point. Guilford Police Officer Matt Potter accompanied the riders on his bike.
As organizer Pam Simonds noted, “we want to continue to encourage and promote biking for folks older than 60. It is such an enjoyable way to keep limber and stay healthy well into our 80’s. We will certainly lead more bike rides for Seniors when Spring comes! Stay tuned! ”
