Thank You REI!

February 7, 2022

See your membership grant donation dollars at work! Walk the magnificent Shoreline Greenway Trail in Madison, CT at the Hammonasset Beach State Park. Meet at the Shoreline Greenway Trailhead Parking Lot, where an REI grant funded a new water station in 2020! This walk will be led by Ranger Russ Miller, Naturalist and Director of Meigs Point Nature Center. This event is part of a MONTHLY series of events that rotate between Madison, Branford, Guilford, and East Haven – all held along the Shoreline Greenway Trail on the FIRST SATURDAY of the month. Trails are generally flat, easily accessible, and loaded with natural beauty. These events are open to all and last between 1 and 2 hours each. Some months are walks, some are bike rides. Learn more at shorelinegreenwaytrail.org. The Shoreline Greenway Trail has received two REI grants, installing a water station at the Trailhead Parking Lot in Hammonasset State Park in Madison, and creating signage and installing railing to create a more walkable and bike-able trail through Branford near Chet’s Pond. Thanks to you and REI members like you, Shoreline Greenway Trail has created a more bike-able, walkable shoreline! Join us!
