On Thursday, April 6 a groundbreaking ceremony was held to celebrate the start of needed work to extend SGT approximately two miles from the existing trail off Elliot Street (former site of (DCMoore School). This event was attended by both local and state elected officials, the town Economic Director, Superintendent of Operations for Public works, and many Shoreline Greenway Trail members and supporters.
The trail extension will utilize federal/state funds assigned to build SGT.
When completed the newest section of trail will safely connect pedestrians and bicyclists to Coe and Cosey Beach Avenue, and the shoreline.
