Winter is a special time along the shore. Come and hear about our plans for trail expansion. We will walk the trail in Hammonasset State Park and enjoy the crisp air and the few stalwart shorebirds around the salt marsh. 2.5 miles roundtrip. Modest hills. Wear comfortable shoes. The REI water station will not be open so bring your own water. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Meet at the trail parking lot: I 95 exit 62, south to the traffic light, left onto Route One, the first right into the parking lot.
