You won’t want to miss this SGT event! Please join us this Saturday for a special guided walk with Ranger Russ. Here are the details:

What: We will walk the trail in Hammonasset with special guest Russ Miller, the beloved Ranger at the Miegs Point Nature Center, to learn more about the fascinating environment in the park and especially the winter habitats of the Park’s permanent residents. Enjoy the cold-hardy birds and the stark winter beauty of the sound and its marshes. Easy walking on gently rolling, stone-paved terrain. 2.5 miles roundtrip.

When: Saturday, February 5, 2022, 10:00 am.

Where: Meet at the Shoreline Greenway Trail parking lot at Hammonasset Beach State Park: I-95 Exit 62, South to Route One, left onto Route One, then the first right into the parking lot.

Special Instructions: Children and leased dogs welcome. Masks optional; observe social distance with others. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water if you wish; the REI water station at the trail head is closed for the season. Questions, contact Dan Buckley, bdanley8@gmail.com.
