On Saturday, August 23rd, Caroline Keating, our high school intern organized and hosted another Trail Maintenance Session! The session started at 10:00 am, with Madison Chair Ginny Raff, to give a quick introduction and history of the Madison trail. Perry Rianhard and Chair Dan Buckely were also in attendance for the introduction! Perry and Ginny educated us about the process to construct and clear the trail we all enjoy today at Hammonasset West. It was amazing to have them with us!

In total, we gathered a group of nine volunteers to help out! Caroline and Board Member Luca Scafidi led them through the trail, where the volunteers got to work near the end of the trail to clear off the overgrown long railing.

A very special thank you to Branford Volunteers, a database which publicizes service opportunities in our local area. Thanks to their partnership, we were able to meet new faces and have more hands to maintain our trail! Additionally, the event featured another successful implementation of the Donor Perfect Registration software, piloted by SGT consultant Jay Strange.

Thank you to our Social Media volunteer Emily Jones for these photos and Caroline for this write-up!

We hope to see you at the next session!
