Celebrate Independence Day weekend by joining us on a walk on the Stony Creek Trolley Trail. We’ll have flags available for walkers to wave as we stride past some of the most beautiful scenery on the Connecticut shoreline. We’ll cross the historic trolley bridge and follow the Branford Trial up to Jenny Vedder’s monument rock on a promontory with views of the marshes and Long Island Sound. Then we’ll take the trail on the Branford Land Trust Goss property, another lovely wooded area. Doing a loop, we’ll return by way of the Trolley Trail back to our starting place. Time: 10:00-12:00. Place: West Point Field Parking area, in Stony Creek off of Thimble Island Road. Leashed dogs welcome. Wear comfortable walking shoes; some terrain is a bit rocky. and uneven.
