Please join Shoreline Greenway Trail members and the community as we hold another MASTERS Walk.
WEDNESDAY, September 13th, 10AM.
“Shrubs can be the neglected child of the plant world. We tend to admire the majestic trees or rhapsodize over the colorful wildflowers, but shrubs give us plenty to look at as well. Learn to identify some of the common local shrubs on the Hammonassett Greenway Trail with botanical author Lauren Brown. Lauren Brown is the author of two botanical field guides, Weeds and Wildflowers in Winter (W.W. Norton) and Grasses, Sedges, Rushes: An Identification Guide (Yale University Press). She is vice-president of the Connecticut Botanical Society and serves on the board of directors of the Branford Land Trust.”
We will walk the Hammonasset-west section of the Shoreline Greenway Trail in Madison.
Meet at 10 AM at the Trailhead parking lot, Post Road East, Madison
This is being hosted by the Guilford Shoreline Greenway Trail team and partnering with the Branford Land Trust.
