First Saturday Walk

If the trail is covered in snow and ice, we’ll walk on the paved trails
of Hammonasset Park as they will hopefully be plowed. 3 miles round
trip. If no snow, we’ll walk on the Shoreline Greenwway Trail through a
coastal upland forest and past the fascinating salt marsh. 2.5 miles
roundtrip. Modest hills. The REI water station is closed for the season
so bring your own water. We will update you on the Hammonasset East
trail expansion before we start. Meet at the trail parking lot: I 95 exit 62,
south to the traffic light, left on Route One, first right into the parking lot.
