Branford First Saturday Walk and Roll
February 1, 2025
On a frigid Saturday about fourtenen walkers participated in Branfor’d First Saturday walk at the Tabor property. Walkers came from several different towns. They included SGt team members, high school students, and just regular folks.

We had a great time walking on the Shoreline Greenwya Trail past Chet’s Pond, circling back past the town’s large solar array on the Public Works Road, and then going up to the top of Ecology Park to enjoy the view. We spotted Long Island Sound, Short Beach, the Branford Public Library, and many other landmarks.

Something new for our walks: thanks to the enthusiastic walkers, we became aware that Ecology park harbors a geocache! Geocaching) is an item, typically a container holding a number of other items, that has been hidden at a location whose coordinates have been posted on the internet.

After walking almost three miles, we returned to our cars invigorated by the walk and glad that we had come out!
