EASTHAVEN~Saturday,JUNE6,10AM ~ANNUAL CT TRAILS DAY at the Shore Line Trolley Museum ~ Are you interested in history? Trolleys? A pleasant walk to a river? Osprey sightings? If so, come celebrate the 14th year of the partnership between Shoreline Greenway Trail and the Shore Line Trolley Museum on Connecticut Trails Day. Meet at 10:00AM at the Shore Line Trolley Museum, 17 River Street in East Haven. A Museum volunteer will take us on a trolley ride along the Museum’s scenic track through the Farm River estuary. Disembark to walk to the old dike at the Farm River, visit the remains of an old crushing plant, and learn its history; or stay on the trolley to return to the museum. Tour the museum with nearly 100 vintage transit vehicles, including the PATH train car that survived the 9/11 World Trade Center attack. Time – c. 2 hours. Walk c.1 mile with some rough terrain.
