PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE…THE SATURDAY WALK STARTS AT 9AM
Our First Saturday event for August will feature history as well as nature. Note the 9:00 am start time, to beat the heat. We hope you can join us! Here are the details:
What: Our walk will begin with brief tales from Joel Helander, town historian, about the property’s history – “Kuttawoo”, where Harriet Beecher Stowe lived, and more. Then we will explore the trail in the northern section of the 583-acre East River Preserve, through the woods and across the meadow..About 1 1/2 hours.
When: Saturday, August 7, 2021, 9:00 am.
Where: Park along Sullivan Drive (just before the Guilford Stump Dump gate). Meet at trail entrance. Here is a link to the Town’s Trail Map.
