MADISON FIRST SATURDAY WALK OCTOBER 2, 2021,10AM
We will walk the magnificent Shoreline Greenway Trail in Hammonasset Beach State Park through one of the few coastal upland forests remaining on Long Island Sound. There will be excellent bird-watching and great views of the sound and its marshes. Easy walking on gently rolling, stone-paved surface. 2.5 miles round trip.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring water if you wish. There is a water station for humans and dogs at the trail head thanks to a gift from REI.
Meet at the Shoreline Greenway Trail parking: I-95 Exit 62, South to Route One, left onto Route One, the first right into the parking lot. Questions, call Ginny Raff 203-318-9649.
