As part of the Shoreline Greenways Trail’s Masters Series, the Shoreline Greenway Trail will hold a walk at the Madison Section, with special guest Bob Kuchta, past Tree Warden, Madison Connecticut.
As we walk, you will learn about all things Trees including identification, native and non-native species found along the trail, and interesting facts about tree growth and appearance, as well as taking in the beauty of the trail.
Of course, this walk is open to all and the general public from any area!
We will be walking at an easy pace, on gently rolling, stone-paved terrain. 2.5 miles, (approx. 60 minutes) roundtrip. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water if you wish. The REI sponsored water station is open and fill up your water bottles. Binoculars would be a plus!
We will be joined by members of the Madison Land Conservation Trust organization.
Directions: Meet at the Shoreline Greenway Trailhead parking lot, Jun 10th, 10:00 AM:
I-95 exit 62, south to the traffic light, left onto Route One, the first right into the parking lot.
